I tried Brite, a bit more healthier version of energy drinks, and I’m feeling much better not forcing myself to drink what tastes like battery acid in the morning. Still, the best would be to just stay away from caffeine, I had some periods like that lasting several months, was feeling great, and sleeping great
You need downers to ride the uppers and get that perfect drug fueled circadian rhythm going.
Energy drinks during the day and a nice indica bong/dab rip, edible, or blunt in the evening.
Warning: If things have escalated to cocaine/meth/adderall to go up and opiates and a handy from the local masseuse to go down, you’re probably riding the rhythm too hard.
/s please take care of yourself!
Jesus. And here I thought you were going to suggest something simple like chamomile tea.
Sounds expensive
Ah, I believe this was standard practice in the 70’s; Black Beauties in the morning, quaaludes to tuck you in at night. 💊
I saw that documentary. “The Wolf of Wall Street” or something? Maybe that was actually late 80s-early 90s.
On a daily basis I consume enough drugs to sedate Manhattan, Long Island, and Queens for a month. I take Quaaludes 10-15 times a day for my “back pain”, Adderall to stay focused, Xanax to take the edge off, pot to mellow me out, cocaine to wake me back up again, and morphine… Well, because it’s awesome.
They say no caffeine after noon because of the half life.
As a woman of an age dealing with unfortunate hormonal fluctuations, I’m holding myself to this. It’s almost frustrating in the way it’s paying off.
I’ve been riding the cycle of shitty sleep leading to excess caffeine, leading to shittier sleep even taking melatonin, leading to even more poor diet choices. I suffered through a day where I denied myself afternoon caffeine (stopping at noon, where previously I thought 3pm was close enough) and had a sucky day. But I slept slightly better that night. Holding myself to this, each night’s sleep has been slightly better, and I feel like I’m making smarter decisions again.
It’s still too early to say if it’ll be a long term solution, but this last week I’ve started taking small doses of l-theanine. It’s the stuff in tea that’s supposed to help you relax. I found 200mg chewable tablets that I break into 1/4-1/3 pieces. I take a little in the morning and some before bed, and am overall feeling more relaxed. I’ve slept beautifully the last few nights without melatonin, but with my track record I want to see that hold a good month before guiding the l-theanine all the credit.
Look at magnesium and zinc.
I had my last green tea waaaaay too late into my shift overnight wish me luck crawling into bed right now.
You should try Celsius. It has no sugar and doesn’t give you that horrible crash after only 15 minutes.
