Will need to post a mini-review of Revision the next time I get to replay Deus Ex.

I’ve played Deus Ex enough times that I sort of enjoy the clunky and RPG progression gunplay.

Invisible War is fundamentally flawed due to the small maps though.

Try one of the mods, they greatly improve things compared for he baseline game (I haven’t played the baseline version in 15 years).

There are multiple missions/maps where you will eventually not be able to use stealth.
I can see what you mean regarding guns being clunky. They do get more effective as you level up and get better weapons. Early game gunplay is very iffy.
But I actually like the RPG approach to gunplay and how it forces you to try and avoid direct confrontation and use a mixture of stealth and combat.
That being said, these are all fair points.
I’ve actually never tried Revision. I only use GMDX. Should try it for next play through. i feel like I need to reinstall once I clear out a major deliverable for work. :)

I strongly dislike UI/UX that has been compromised (from my perspective) for consoles/controllers.
Agreed regarding the sequels (haven’t played the fourth one, just the 2nd and 3rd sequel); they are OK, but not that special.

Don’t really see the reason to switch to LLMs.

Agent Karyo@lemmy.worldto Fedigrow@lemmy.zip•Weekly thread - how is everyone doing with their communities?English4·8 days agoI’ve been putting in a lot effort into !tycoon@lemmy.world for more than a year now (I enjoy the tycoon game genre). Recently I started modding/curating !crpg@lemmy.world and it’s almost surprising how much faster the community is growing (MAUs, but also engagement).
It makes sense, RPG games are far more popular than business sim games, just funny to see this dynamic firsthand.
The fallout CRT retro-arcade is awesome!
Crosswind looks promising, will need to add it to my tracking list.
Those PC88 screenshots! So damn beautiful, they ooze style.
Thanks for this!

It would be fascinating if this lawsuit forces Sony to open their platform to 3rd party stores. I am assuming they would be far more opposed to this than even any multi-hundred million euro fines.

I am surprised I’ve never heard of the game before, it’s been out since 2019.
Agent Karyo@lemmy.worldto Fedigrow@lemmy.zip•Content jacking/reposting is a problem on Lemmy.English513·16 days agoML is trash. It’s a septic tank of degenerates, “communist” role players and the mentally ill (e.g. Dessalines who claims that North Korea is a great place to live and that there is massive conspiracy to discredit them).
When I first encountered Dessalines, I assumed he was a demagogue and he was knowingly lying, but it seems his word salad is actually genuine.
I do hope that one day all ML tankies end up in a russian internment camp; it’s only fair for them to experience what they wish upon Ukrainians. The funny thing is russia is a hyper-capitalist, authoritarian, plutocratic shithole.

First time I’ve heard of Vintage Story, sounds like a well made Minecraft clone.
