I just rewatched this movie. Outland would make a great TVshow!

Oh wow… RIP
Acting is even more amazing when you see stuff like this.
Oh man, RIP.
All three would be amazing.
I don’t see anyway that an inflatable car cover will be at all practical. When it comes to hail your only other is park in a covered garage.
next time you want to hang with the weirdos, ask yourself constantly whether you vibe with the weirdos.
To me this is the best answer I have seen in this thread.
The OP read the room wrong.
Untamed:
Sigh is all I have too say.
The show takes place in Yosemite National Park and there are some gorgeous scenes. Though I suspect most of the filming was not in the park.
The cast did what they could with the crap they were given.
The show started off ok and just went down hill. The story was so predictable, there were some side plots that just went nowhere. Characters became caricatures the longer the show went on and there were a few (three) too many last minute rescues that were just so insultingly bad. The big twist at the end was telegraphed a mile away.
The whole mess is just on par with so much of what Netflix churns out.
The challenge with John Carter is that The Barsoom book series heavily influenced Sci-Fi works that came after.
Elements of the story are in Buck Rodger’s, Flash Gordon, Dune, Star Wars and as recent as Avatar.
As a result so much of what makes the character and his stories great, will seem like rehashing of stuff we have all seen many times before. Problem is it is the other way around.
Also Disney released a god awful version of the story in 2012 movie. God that movie was a mess.
I am checking out the first season and I love a lot of it. The visuals are amazing, tough I do think the ship has way too much empty interior space. The aesthetics, costumes, props etc all looks incredible though.
The cast is spectacular. Ethan Peck is perfect as Spock. Given who is Grandfather is I am not surprised. Jess Bush is also great as Chapel. I struggle with Anson Mount though.
The problem is everything moves a little too fast. All the character became close friends way too fast and I wish te show had been more patient with some of the characters back stories
Some of the episodes are really dumb, The Serene Squall and The Elysian Kingdom were just WTF moronic.
I do admit that it is best Trek I have seen since STNG.
It is not played out at all. Go for it.
To cloud the issue further, The Pentagon is in Virginia and The Washington Football team plays in Maryland and practices in Virginia.
Also the last time the New York Giants played in New York City was 50 years ago.
The castings of the X-Men were the one part that was consistently great!
There in lies the confusion.
A credit score doesn’t tell a lender if you will pay back a loan. A credit score tells a lender how much off a guarantee it is to make money of lending you money.
Not only is a 20 point drop nothing but if everyone’s score drops 20, nothing has changed.
Excellent and Sexy AF!
Post as much as you want.
That is the whole point of the place.

How is that not obvious?
The Outerbanks. The first season was great escapism during the pandemic. It was basically a live action Scobby Doo, with pot and no Dog.
The Tiger King: It was great escapism during the pandemic.
The Mary Tyler Moore show was released when the world was shifting for women. the focus of the show was on her career.
Along those same lines, All In The Family was released right after the upheavals of the 60s and people were taking a hard look at family, racial and cultural dynamics.
The Big Bang Theory really capitalized on the whole Geek CUlture that was exploding in the late aughts.
Not a TV Show, but a Movie.
The China Syndrome was released as two weeks before the Three Mile Island Nuclear Accident happened. So people flocked to the theaters to see it.
