For those that wanted the recipe:

• 1 onion, chopped into half inch strips
• 3 celery sticks, diced
• one pack of baby bella mushrooms
• one parsnip, finely diced
• two zucchini, cut into small cubes
• 4-5 large red potatoes, cubed with skin on
• 1 pound of carrots, cut into chips, or one pound of baby carrots
• 1 can of light red kidney beans, drained and washed
• 1 can fire roasted tomatoes
• 4 cups of veggie broth
• 1 tablespoon of lemon juice (optional)
• 1 can of tomato paste (optional)
• 2 tablespoons of olive oil
• 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika
• 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
• 3/4 teaspoon of dried garlic

1. In a large pot on medium high heat, add olive oil, onions, celery, mushrooms. Saute until softened.

2. Pour in veggie broth, lemon juice, and spices. Mix well.

3. Pour in the rest of the veggies and kidney beans. Mix well.

4. Pour in fire roasted tomatoes on top. DO NOT MIX, and do not dispose of the can.

5. Fill the can from the fire roasted tomatoes with water and pour into pot. Do not stir.

6. Cover the pot with a lid, lower heat to medium, and simmer for between 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7. Optional - add in tomato paste and stir well.

8. Add additional spices or salt to taste.

9. Serve with noodles. I prefer those small middle rings.

I wouldn’t define that as being screwed, but they certainly are disadvantages. Fixed rates can work in your favor under certain scenarios like how the government is currently reducing bond rates which causes everyone else to lower their APY. Fixed rates mean you aren’t affected when the government decides to pay less.

If you are really looking to avoid devaluation of your portfolio then you can switch to purchasing valuable minerals like gold and silver (or the ETFs that track them), or you can invest in insured CDs. These won’t give you the big payout like stocks would, but they will never lose you money.

Just recently I sold off a lot of poor performing stocks and stocks of companies investing in AI and bought some gold and silver stocks as well as some CDs. I am not expecting to win with these - I just want to survive the inevitable market crash.

I’m no vegan or vegetarian, but I’ve been eating way less meat and more veggies lately since I found a really delicious veggie stew recipe. I’ve made it weekly for meal prep almost 4 weeks in a row now. There are many days recently where I go without eating meat at all. I just got some blood work back from my yearly physical and I had too much protein in my blood.

I actually get more protein from the veggie stew than I was getting with my old diet.

FYI this is very real social engineering that criminals use. These stickers seem harmless at first but can be pretty dangerous.

There are certain nuances when a company is too big to compete with - things like YouTube where video hosting is hella expensive. That is a grey area that I do not have an educated opinion on.

Just a friendly reminder that resisting arrest is not a reason to arrest somebody. That charge comes second, not first, and if that is the first charge then the police deserve any and all harm that befall them.

Citizens should legally be able to defend themselves with violence if they are being arrested or assaulted for resisting arrest.

I’m living through number one right now. The confusion isn’t the bad part. The bad part is being fully conscious of your confusion, almost like you are in a body floating over your own watching you do and think stupid shit you know you would never do. Video streaming bitrates is the one that most affects my day to day. You could stream 1080p for free back in the day. I also believe the ability to post server emotes in other servers is also something that was locked behind the introduction of Nitro, but I can’t confirm since at that time I was only in a single channel.

With this said, Discord needs to make money somehow, but crippling your own platform isn’t the way.
