Political Memes@lemmy.world•Buh (and I can't stress this enough) bye!
7·19 小时前Razor wire. Instead of points it has blades.
It was the closest to Sanders out of the Senate at the time.
I meant more of the backend stuff (am in IT).

1·1 天前The most important bit is that they can block trumps SC nominees, and that Fettermen doesn’t have the same ability to be a traitor.
At least for Texas, their voting record speaks for themselves.
I wish people had looked at Harris’s voting record instead of her campaign messaging.

politics @lemmy.world•Arizona voters pass Prop. 318 restricting transgender students from using preferred bathrooms
131·1 天前Even that’s not necessary; it’s a problem that solves itself. If a vagina owner goes into the mens room, they’re going to be using a stall. If a penis owner goes into the women’s restroom, they’re going to be using a stall.
It’s not like the gender signs were a deterrent to rapists in the first place. No rapist in history has stopped and said, “Well damn, I can’t follow them because a sign says so.”
I think it’s actually the nearest ICE detention center.
I guess I can stop wishing for Paxton to roll him off a cliff and jump down after.
And Paxton and Dan Patrick lost, which is also a huge deal.
Dan Patrick was the guy who said that we should sacrifice grandma and grandpa for the economy during COVID.

Political Memes@lemmy.world•Shout out to Texas! We failed our Governor's race in Florida, but y'all did the country proud!
13·1 天前I wouldn’t call it a complete failure. In 2022 the disparity was 1,507,897 votes. This election, the disparity was only 107,686.
That’s a 92.9% decrease, which is massive. While the governor election went to R, it means that voters might be more likely to lean left on policy votes.
Your state is going in the right direction, for sure.

4·1 天前That’s a fair stance. My problem is people assuming it’ll be more of the same despite the DSA winning several seats.
We need fucking recall votes back.

politics @lemmy.world•Democrats' midterm gains could sideline Electoral College by 2028
44·1 天前It’s about time. The EC failed at its main goal of preventing morons from electing a tyrant.
Hopefully the remaining 4% are mail in ballots which trend Democrat.
