If Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome is real then it’s extremely rare. Just look at People like Willie Nelson or Snoop. Fact is this syndrome was only first described after Colorado legalized cannabis recreationally. So even though many many people smoked just as much before legalization it somehow only became an issue afterward? Anecdotally I know a lot of people who smoke a lot of weed. Personally neither my wife and I have been sober for more than maybe a month in the last decade and a half, and I still smoke a lot more than just half a j at the end of the day. Sometimes if I don’t smoke and I don’t eat I get kinda nauseous. The same thing will happen if I do smoke and I don’t eat. I have/get every illness, if this was a thing I would have it lol

News@lemmy.world•Babies Are Bleeding to Death as Parents Reject a Vitamin Shot Given at Birth
417·3 days agoThis is the fault of the US healthcare system and not necessarily the parents. I’ve had two kids in American hospitals and it was the single most exhausting, tortuous experience of my life each time. They don’t let you rest, so your decision making is impacted, then they have over 30 injections they want to give your newborn and God forbid you want to discuss any of them, you must be an anti-science monster if you dare to question a single one. If the practitioners can’t express plainly what is necessary and what is superfluous? Okay so the newborn baby needs a vitamin K injection, a vitamin their body will make on its own in a few days, to stop brain bleeds? And why is my newborn at risk of a brain bleed? Something to do with the constant stream of injections you’re giving them? Or maybe the cuts? Oh because of the jaundice? Well if you would allow parents to get their children any kind of natural light maybe that wouldn’t be an issue, but instead we’re being held hostage here until you are satisfied that you’ve solved every issue you create.
You can all sit behind your keyboards judging the sleep deprived new parents who are being misled and taken advantage of by the healthcare industry, and act like they don’t deserve to procreate, but like any other issue there is a lot more nuance to the problem than just “American dumb”
No, you are not and have not said that and neither have any of the other voter apathy memesters that pop up around election time and demonstrably increase voter apathy. But keep up the ad hominem, it’s super endearing.
Name one thing the group that wasn’t voted into power has done since their power was taken away? Well aside from blocking terrible bills and suing the Trump administration over executive actions and voter intimidation, DNC appointed judges have really been the only force of opposition the GOP has faced. You’re right, though. It’s not enough. Instead of voting more progressive candidates into the DNC we should just remove them from power entirely, and hand over all that remains of the government to the GOP since the DNC is so ineffectual. That will show them! Hear that everyone? Don’t vote! If your vote mattered even a little bit then Republicans would be doing everything they can to make it more difficult for you while also astroturfing social media with bots and voter apathy memes, and since you want to act like they haven’t been actively suppressing democracy and they were only caught doing that last bit in 2012, 2016, 2020, and 2024 and soon there won’t be any proof of that then we can all rest easy knowing there’s nothing we can do or could have done.

I’m by no means accusing any bees of violence beyond what is warranted, or any hypothetical pet bees of aggression, but as it is humanity clips dogs’ tails and ears and breeds them into monstrosities for no reason other than aesthetics, so why wouldn’t we do the same to any other hypothetical pet?
If there was a pet bumblebee industry there would also likely be a bumblebee cosmetic surgery industry like we see with other popular pets. I’m sure stinger removal would be a standard procedure for an indoor bee. Or they’d be bred out after so many years. Probably designer bee coats as well. I bet they’d bee pretty cute and cuddly.

Political Memes@lemmy.world•I know you understand and may even agree w/ me. But you'll still downvote because you enjoy hurting anyone who tries to rise above your scat mess. Voting is 100% a con-game. And you have been fooled.
112·13 days agoNever anything constructive to say, just criticism with no alternatives or improvements offered.
No, I understand perfectly well that y’all want to mischaracterize a generalization to justify your racism.
If you already see the world through a racial lens, then sure. But I think you missed the point.
A man who lies about everything every time he opens his mouth attends his very first WHCD, it is canceled before it can begin because “shots are heard”, he sits there patiently as SS rushes Vance out first, then comes back for him, and then they immediately start pushing the narrative that this is why we need the ballroom they’ve been pushing, and you are crazy if you question it at all? Yeah, alright dude. There’s some boot on your lips.
*Oh and a judge two weeks ago ordered the ballroom construction cease unless there is a defensive purpose so, yeah. Not even remotely far fetched for this administration, but feel free to waste your time defending a corrupt group of pedophile losers.
I agree, but that’s not the topic of discussion.
Setting age limits for social media is not the same thing as banning kids from the internet entirely.
It’s not taking away kids access to communicate with friends though. There’s a million and one ways kids can communicate these days. It’s taking away adults’ access to other people’s children.
I agree the pedogarchy is the main issue here, and if you kept up with the 1% of files that were released you would know that having access to children on social media was part of their plan. We can attack that plan from both ends without some slippery slope bullshit about how children need facebook to stay in touch with each other. We all know that’s some grade a bolognium.

Once upon a time. Now it’s that but also kinda like flawless, perfect, magnificent. What ‘awesome’ is supposed to mean.
