Based on the NYT article analyzing the video and satellite imagery, we can be fairly confident that it was a direct tomahawk hit. And checking the satellite images, the school looks like a part of the IRGC base where other buildings were also targeted. So they most likely intended to hit the building, but they (obviously) didn’t know there was a school in it. A major fuckup caused by carelessness/incompetence that should have never happened, and heads should roll.

The problem is the lack of structure.

I organize a lot of workshops involving people from experts to executives, where you always need an introduction round, and I give them a structure to follow. Makes the task it easier, but it’ll also be much more useful for the group, as we’ll focus in the aspects of a person that matter for the context of the workshop.

For a class intro in primary school, it could be:

• name and age
• nickname you’d like others to call you
• favorite subject
• favorite hobby / free time activity

I just made this up, but a teacher could probably come up with something even more fitting.

The point is, always give people structure or guidance, you’ll get much more out of similar introduction rounds.

Wow this is is bad. This game’s community has been always a shithole - in reddit, discord, and also in the game itself.

I remember when a guy was mad that my mortar blasted him. He waited until we completed the map and the shuttle touched down, then messaged me and kicked me before the mission was completed.

I only play with my friends now, and avoid public servers. It’s a fun, but often messy and buggy game.

It’s incredible how much drone tech developed. I remember at the beginning of the war when they dropped grenades and mortar shells (I guess) from DJIs - you saw some smoke and dirt, then a guy crawling without a leg.

Now we have videos like these. I also saw a video where a soldier got turned into red dust by an FPV drone, like in a movie. I guess it’s much better to be a russian soldier now, you at least get a quick death.

It was a cruel and cynical attack, but it adhered to the rules of warfare.

This doesn’t change that Trump is a monster and this war is horrible, but this torpedo attack itself was legal.

Exactly. It was a cynical and cruel action but it was legal, I just looked after the rules. It’s a fucking warship, doesn’t matter if the Iranians claim it was unarmed (or if it actually was).

Also, submarines are not required to provide rescuse, as surfacing would cause a risk to them. They are obliged to notify others that rescue is needed.

The US is doing many horrible and clearly illegal things. We can also argue about the ethics of this torpedo attack, but it was not illegal and not a war crime.

Board Bored of Peace Certified Special Military Operation^TM

During a visit, my mother’s and my dog ate some chocolate cake that the wind blew off a table. We notice it in 10-15 mins, vet said just bring them in to induce vomiting. We did that, they got an injection each, and vomited out everything soon.

In practice, vets want to take no risks by calculaing/guessing exact cocoa content, the best is just to have them vomit as soon as you can.

Wife and I live in Germany, but still have some streaming services from our home country in Eastern Europe.

We started a Scream movie marathon on the weekend to catch up on the series, before we watch the newest one in cinema.

We watched the first 2, and half of the 3rd on 28th February Saturday on one of the streaming platforms (SkyShowtime). The next morning (1st of March), the movies were not available anymore.

We finished 3 and watched 4 on Amazon Prime, but within that we had to start a separate subscription for horror movies.

5 was only available in German with no subtitles, so I had to search for another source. Ended up creating a Paramount+ account, downloaded the app, and watched the movie there.

Then back to Amazon Prime, where finished the 6th Scream movie, before heading to the local cinema.

This was the last straw, we decided to go back to sail the seas after a decade of streaming service subscription. Next weekend I will take some time to figure out the setup we need to make this happen safely, as a lot has changed since I left it behind.
