Just released video about how the internet has completely changed for the worse. Fascinating discussion. What are your thoughts on this?

I couldn’t get through all the 4chan praise to be honest.

I also lament what the internet has become in the 20+ years I’ve been using it, but I don’t agree that 4chan is a good poster child for what it used to be. I hate that there seems to be a mystique around it now like it wasn’t some amoral cesspool. In fact, the reason I signed up for Reddit about 12 yrs ago was because I felt so dirty browsing /b/

I don’t know what sort of crowd generally hangs out here yet, but if we do manage to bring back some of the glory of the old internet, I really hope we can revive more than nihilistic meme culture and trolling.

Browsing /b/ was the first and hopefully last time I have ever seen without-a-doubt CSAM on the internet. It took less than 5 mins to see the worst of humanity.

Interesting subject matter and exactly the length I want from a YouTube video. There should be more content like this!

Great content! Things are spiraling out of control, with harsh real world consequences, e.g. the deepfakes during the Russo-Ukrainian War. And while the youth and blissfully unaware people are hooked to Corpo shit, they are rubbing their hands in the search for more devious methods to generate even more outrage.

1984 was a warning. Now, it’s very close to become a documentary.
