      It allowed us to break everything and rebuild completely. Without this collapse, we may have done a good WC but we wouldn’t have reached the level we are today.

    Has there ever been a bigger bottlejob in international football than France’s '94 World Cup qualification?

    Before the final two matches France needed one point to qualify for the finals, but lost both games at home to Israel and Bulgaria in the 90th minute.

    With Ginola absolutely hating the French manager back then. He stated he was relieved they didn’t make it, because he dreaded the thought of having to spend multiple weeks with that man.
