    First I thought they mean some Asian car which is often joked about as a rice cooker and since it was outside, but damn, an actual rice cooker. Cry times

    In Germany it’s a convention that you put something on the street to signify that you want to gift it away. Of course, it should also have been obvious from the context they were moving in, so could still be a case of petty theft.

    Funny thing is: in Munich it is kinda normal to put old but still useful stuff outside the door for people to pick up if they like it. You can basically get everything you like for free there. Maybe the “thief” thought someone just placed a giveaway there.
