Quarterbacking and playcalling have oscillated violently between questionable and abysmal, but 4 career touchdowns in 39 career games is inexcusable for a #4 pick. Some of his routes hurt to watch, whether it’s poor spatial awareness or his knee injury sapped some of his explosiveness (I’m not pessimistic enough to say lack of effort). Ideally I’d want him to live up to his full potential here but he has not been valuable enough to the team since his rookie season for him to be untouchable if it means landing a franchise QB.

YeH but we’ve been doing this so long just burning they great talent not getting anywhere for it… Jones still hurts to think about that he ain’t get a ring with us… we’re stacked imo. I’d rather keep our weapons and just trade ridder

I told my buddy I can’t see myself hitching my hope on the progression and maturity of Desmond ridder but maybe can give him time to grow into it! The season a wash at least let him mature this go and next season let’s see. But it does hurt to watch I have no arguments with you… Ridder and Smith make my blood pressure high. Seeing our weapons on other teams balling out sucks

It isn’t realistic imo, I actually was doing some research on this perhaps I’ll make a post about it. However the only time players have been involved in a trade up for a QB in NFL history is twice. Jets did it to move up for Mark Sanchez, and Falcons did it to move up for Vick. Both also included draft picks still.

Teams value draft picks more than they value players when it comes to draft trades.
