    In what world is the Wall Street Journal “liberal media”? The same WSJ owned/run by Rupert Murdoch and his son? Or is there another one?

          The origin of Liberal is as the alternative to Absolutist - basically a monarchist.

          The concept of Liberalism is compatible with either right (laissez-faire) or left economic theories. The term generally isn’t used this way today, but in reality just about all Western political parties are liberal.

        Liberalism is a center-right ideology.

        I wouldn’t say that - even fascists don’t fetishize capitalism and their precious private property to the extent that liberals do.
