Cute little jumping spider
Are you sure it’s a jumping spider? Doesn’t look like any of the jumping spiders I know, but I’m not an expert
I saw him jump and use his silk to slow down just after this pic, so definitely a jumper

Woodlouse spiders are, as far as ones I’ve seen, bright red and they have large forward-pointing fangs. They also look chunkier.
Younger spiders are lighter in color; their exoskeleton is sometimes even transparent when they’re born. And idk, the rest of the features seem to match to me.

I thought it was what we call a Garden Ghost Spider, Anyphaena accentuata. I’m in the Welsh Borders. He definitely jumped. I watched him jump and use his silk to land.
I think you are right; I was being pedantic about “jumping spider” as the salticids, which have those very charismatic, big, front-facing eyes. Plenty of active hunters that jump that aren’t “jumping spiders” technically.
By way of a peace offering, here’s one from the USA Southwest where I am
Some kind of wolf spider, one of the lycosidae. More deliberate in how they move than a salticid (those guys tend to go in fits and starts).
