At the ER my high white cell count indicated appendicitis. My appendix exploded during the removal surgery. I spent the next two weeks on an absurd quantity of antibiotics not knowing I had a 40% survival prognosis. I survived but I am so on borrowed time.

At the ER my high white cell count indicated appendicitis. My appendix exploded during the removal surgery.
