I don’t know why but I really don’t like this tune. I just don’t understand what’s so good about it. The guitar riffs are irritating and the silly voice the singer uses make me cringe. Please help me understand what people like about this song so much.

He well I’m with you on the analysis of the guitar riffage but the entire song holds at its centre, the monster bass line of the legendary Les Claypool. and that reason alone is why I personally really like the song.

I kinda feel the same about most of Primus discography. I understand the importance of their music and I’m not a musician, so I’m ignorant when it comes to technical stuff and I’m not gonna criticize instrumentation… but I never could get into their music, for me it always sounded as silliness for the sake of being silly. I remember liking the ‘Brown Album’. but it turns out, the fans of Primus kinda hate this album. So the only thing I like about them is something people who know better than me hate…

      P.S. ‘Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver’ is a banger tho…

I think it’s just one of those things, like beer. Some people love the taste right off the bat, for some it’s an acquired taste and for other it’s something they don’t care to enjoy. I was never a huge primus fan but I’d probably like them more than I would have when I was younger. I love angular guitars and weird rock. I think this song is meant to be noisy and fun. And if you think it’s too noisy or not fun then that’s OK too.
