A federal appeals court blocked a racist Florida law that restricts Chinese citizens from buying land from being enforced against the two people who sued the state. The court did not, however, block the law entirely; it’s still in effect for everyone else. One of the judges, Nancy Abudu, agreed that this was a blatant violation of the Fourteenth Amendment, and the ACLU of Florida intends to continue fighting to prevent this law from being enforced more broadly.

This fight isn’t over, but this decision certainly acknowledges the discriminatory nature of this law and is a big win.

    I don’t know which interpretation of the ‘I’m offended’ is worse:

    1. “How dare you suggest that there’s any legitimate way of owning land in the US other than violently murdering the current owner and simply taking it for oneself?”
      Or
    2. “How dare you suggest that anyone other than a white man can open property in the US? Don’t you try to trick me into betraying a great tradition.”

      Did I FUCKING say anything about white? There’s a hell of a lot more than just white in the US. Hell, every last Popeye’s joint around here is owned by Indians, but they are CITIZENS, living here— not a fucking corpo operating from another country —and I’m all about it. They run good, clean restaurants, and I love Popeye’s. You’re nothing but an instigating tankie bitch. Eat shit.

                I mean fair enough, I was more meaning, the more I read the more deranged it gets, and denies they said what they said, then says what they said agian. This was the most textbook example of an argument with a Lib or more accurately a Fascist I have ever seen.

                It gets me even more because usualy, a Lib or Fascist will at some point notice they are in the grad and either tone down the retoric, or more often retreat, and this fascist just tripped down on both, including on multiple times doing the super fascist thing of threatening our extermination.

              No I think he ment only US citizens could own property PERIOD, anywhere in the world, so that means we get all the military bases.

              Also do not forget about Gitmo… our military outpost in the not vassal state… that has been very vocal about not wanting the US in their country
