Never heard of Void Linux. Why did you choose that distro?

@theshatterstone54@feddit.uk did mention the obvious reasons, but in the grand scheme of things I use runnit over systemD as it adheres more to the UNIX philosophy.
The fact that it doesn’t use systemd, and it also uses its own package manager. Some people report faster startup times when not using systemd, some people do it for less “bloat”.
It’s the only rolling release distribution that is reliably stable. I don’t use debian and arch because systemD, and artix and devuan are non-systemD, but forks, hence I do not prefer them.
I also tried myself in ricing… And I instantly knew that it would take me a while. Even after 2 years Im not satisfied with the way my system is currently working. This is because I am constantly changing everything: distro, wm, tools. I got inspired by tty colorscheme and those tiktoks like “no gui, just text”, so I setted all of my colors to either ff or 00, and after a long time of adapting I came to conclusion that I messed up. Not only this colorscheme looks unesthetic, but it also hurts my eyes, even after 30 minutes my vision goes blurry irl.
I am slowly coming to the point when I will not be enthusiastic about anything from linux

it’s a good sci-fi, 4X, turn-based video game. The lore is about an extinct powerful godlike civilization called the endless. Many artifacts / places / technologies / songs are called “… …of the endless”. So the title “Dream of the Endless” made me think of it
