Well, it’s a bit of a mistake to say that grass isn’t natural groundcover. I live on a prairie where much of the groundcover is composed of grasses, but the distinction between a lawn and a natural groundcover is that what we think of as “a lawn” or “the grass” are varieties that are sold commercially, that often require additional water and fertilizer. You’ll find different types of these grasses sold in different parts of the world due to different climates.

if it is potent when it grows like that i would love to move to a place where it grows naturally

No, it’s not potent when it grows like that lol. I used to work in the bean fields a long time ago, and it was literally considered a weed that we would chop or pull when we were working in the fields. I tried it once out of curiosity, and there was no effect at all. Actually, that could have been hemp now that I think about it, but my understanding is that growing weed takes a lot of specialized care to get it to provide the effect that it does. I have a friend who grows, and he’s got like an entire lab set up in his house and has to trim, fertilize, etc. to produce the type of nice weed we all enjoy.

ohh i think i get it - natural ground cover is better

your friend sounds awesome lol, it sucks it’s not potent growing wild, i actually only tried weed for the first time a few months ago, my first thought was growing it myself (cuz weed is expensive) but the most i’ve looked into was to see that growing it has a lot of dumb legal regulations, and it would probably not be easy to grow it where i currently live without being caught eventually (would totally do it if my apartment were bigger tho)

Yeah growing it is actually pretty expensive because you typically can’t just place it in a window or something, so you need grow lights, a way to keep it hydrated, and a huge time investment to care for it. My husband looked into it, and in my state you need to basically grow it in a separately locked room.

luckily the time investment isn’t really an issue for me atm, i’m agoraphobic and a stay-at-home partner, i have a lot of time on my hands and i’ve always wanted a garden! lol

do you know if it’s still expensive after the initial purchases of the lights and stuff? cuz other than space issues atm that would be my biggest limitation. since i’m agoraphobic i don’t really get out much and my personal income is usually really limited, and my bf works regularly but he’s not exactly wealthy lol. and same, in my state it can’t be in view of public and you can’t grow it if you live within 25 miles of a dispensary (which we do). i wouldn’t really care about the regulations if i had space/money for it, though. my rule of thumb with stuff like this is that it’s only illegal if i get caught! lol (for legal reasons this is a joke)
