While I can’t relate to property development, this was my self chosen theme song for a very long time. To me it’s just about trusting yourself and your worldview; living life in a way that makes you happy even if it doesn’t conform to what other people think you should be doing.

Edit: the whole “punk rock for nerds” aesthetic of BFF plays into it a lot too. I love punk, but I am not and never have been a punk. I’m a computer nerd.

I guess it shouldn’t be super weird to say one of my own songs that is about me would be a song that “reminds me of me”, right?
