Anyone have input here?

I’m trying to decide which I like, yammie noob had a cool vid comparing the two with the xsr seemingly on top, but spec-wise, the z900 should be wild. I’m aware there are tune and exhaust kits to wake the undertuned z900 up.

I like spirited riding, but mostly on straights as I roar off to a campsite in the mountains. What do you folks think?

I don’t like either much but if I had to choose I’d go with the Yamaha. Bear in mind I don’t like egos on most sport bikes I’m more a dirt/naked/adv guy.

I’m currently on a naked UJM from the 80s, which I love but there’s been a lot of improvement in bikes over the 40+ yrs since she was built.

I’m leaning towards the z900rs, but people are really bigging up the cp3 it seems.

I owned a 2019 z900rs. My buddy owns an xsr900. The xsr feels like a modern street bike. The z900rs feels like a classic Kawasaki Z, with a shitload more power and traction control.

Both feel sleepy once the retro novelty wears off. I traded the Z for a street triple.

If that’s the one you dig go for it. I just think Yamahas are a little more reliable. Nothing wrong with the Kawi.
