I’ve read the entire legends series through to the end of episode 3 sceeenplay, it’s not mentioned in legends/expanded universe that Sidious did anything, it was a failed experiment by plageous and he didn’t even know it at the time…. A new comic that came out this year or last in Disney canon is where it comes from.
Yes one is plageuis, the other is palpatine. I’m talking new lore where Sidious does it.
Its almost like they are telling different stories with the same skeleton or something… you realize that Disney lore and legends lore aren’t the same… yeah?
Yes, I don’t know why I used his different names there.
The bottom line, Plageous was by accident during his experimentations and he concluded anakin was the result, in Disney lore, palpatine/sidious does the manipulation himself in person.
There is no direct link in Legends to say what Plageous did resulted in Anakin.

Edited for clarity
I mean, that’s real cool, but this wiki states that the Grand Experiment, during which Plagueis and Palpatine made Anakin, was in Legends continuity.

Honestly asking, aren’t Palpatine and Sidious the same person?
