It would be like Peter Jackson deciding to make the two towers into a musical and hire Mariah Carey to play Arwen. It doesn’t fit the first one in any way, and I just hate the entire concept of it

The difference here is that LOTR is actual literature. The Joker is pulp from an era where villains were really silly. You’ll be okay, I think.
