Imagine an XL table:

Y 3 4

If “A” and “B” are called “headers” what do you call “X” and “Y”?

EDIT: thanks everyone, i ll go with “row headers” as opposed to “column headers”

    Depends on the context. I work with databases, so A and B are column headers and X and Y are either row numbers, or identifiers.
