Thank you! Sincerely! I love you, too! And I hope that I’m at least twice as scary to the actual Fascists…

Friggin’ hate that this particular style has been co-opted by assholes, I just like dressing in all black and wearing a buzz cut. Makes me feel comfortable in my own skin.

me too brother, ive just accepted at this point that I look like a fascist. ive heard it can be mitigated if you do some little accessorizing like black nail polish or piercings, but I’m not sure those are styles I’m ready to embrace yet (I am extremely self conscious)

I hear you on the self-consciousness bit, it’s why I started wearing the buzz cut… Used to have a glorious ginger/auburn mane, then my 30s started moving everything downstairs. Can only take solace in that I have a Picard head, so I wear it proudly.

As far as accessorising, already have three loops in my left ear and do occasionally paint my left hand’s fingertips black for the hell of it. Unfortunately, my face looks like it could plow through concrete for a living, so… yeah…

I have resting angry face and shave my head, so in my case I’ve taken to wearing lots of bright, friendly colours. Magenta, chartreuse, etc.

Then also being extra extra friendly when meeting folks for the first time. I’ve seen people’s faces in real time realising I’m not a shithead haha.

Thank you so much! It’s of great reassurance to know I’m on the right track with the damage control!

Honestly, wearing black has profound sentimental value to me and I kinda’… don’t really like how colours look on me (very pallid complexion with lobster-like highlights in the summer…) Do wear the occasional red T-shirt or mustard yellow top layer, but it’s mostly just flat black…

As for my facial situation, I try to be aware of it and either offer a polite smile when I notice someone’s looking at me (especially love making silly faces at kids, I hope that doesn’t come off as creepy…), or just be friendly and open if someone chooses to interact. Genuinely like being polite.
