I forget what car it is, but there’s a car radio that has a “max volume on startup” option to avoid this issue.
Why is this feature not standard on everything? If every time my radio defaulted to a medium low volume, and I slowly turn it up then that’d be perfect.
My car has a setting for speed, where you set the volume where you want it when you drive fast.
So I hit 40mph and it’s suddenly loud as fuck.
Mind you, I’m approaching my 40s fast now, and I’m wondering if I should set it to a low volume so I can see better when I go fast.
My Honda Civic has this. It fades in at the beginning, it also gets quieter when stopped.
My Ford C-Max did this, and so does the Kenwood stereo I installed in my current car.
Somehow my car radio does that when playing Spotify from my phone, but not when simply playing (DAB+) radio. It gets louder when driving (fast) and quieter when idling.
A lot of Mazdas have this option
My Chevy has this feature, and I love it. I love blazing my music, but my partners don’t really like it loud. It’s nice when they get into the car and it’s ‘loud’ when the car starts, rather than deafening.
Are you one of those fucks who leave their radio on when they remote-start their car at 6am?
Remote start? After buying gas I don’t have enough money for beer!
