Summary

Greenland’s prime minister, Múte B Egede, condemned the planned visit by Usha Vance, Mike Waltz, and US Energy Secretary Chris Wright, calling it “foreign interference” and urging international support against American pressure.

The visit, seen as a charm offensive amid ongoing coalition talks, sparked local outrage, with Jens-Frederik Nielsen, leader of Greenland’s Democrats, criticizing the US for disrespecting Greenland’s sovereignty.

Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen emphasized cooperation with the US based on respect for sovereignty.

Extra Danish police have been deployed to Greenland ahead of the visit.

So they could have a whole invading army already in Greenland. Seems like a dumb deal to sign.

Its an interesting story and the deal was done in good faith. But there have been some crazy things going on there. During the cold war, USA used to have planes in the air, with atomic bombs, 24 hours a day, in order to be able to react fast to any attack.

One of them actually crashed and a lot of the help that came to the rescue were contaminated and died shortly after. Nobody knew that they were hydrogen bombs and there are talks that they were never recovered. If you have the time, look into it! Also a secret underground base to hide launch sites that never really worked because the tunnels in the ice, couldn’t hold, due to the movement of the ice.
