When Trump said the U.S. had taken in $2 billion a day in tariffs, it’s possible he was projecting revenues and not citing actual revenues. Even a projection ignores that imports could decline amid changing tariff rates.

    Even if it were true, it’s a American citizens paying that money. It’s like bragging that he raised everyone’s taxes and increased government revenue, he’s just masking it behind language that the majority of the population doesn’t understand the implications of and a broad web of lies to make it sound more palatable.

    What! I’ve been waiting for my “trickle-down” check to come in the mail since 1990. I’m starting to think it’s never going to come. If it takes too much longer, I may have to reevaluate my faith in trickle-down economics. 🙄
