Dang. Gen
XZ and younger is going to be a little confused by this; they’ve been doing laproscopic appendectomies for years. No scar.I was really young when I had my appendectomy; my scar looks like it was done in the middle ages by a drunk neighbor using a dull how blade. I used to tell girls who asked that it was a scar from a knife fight, and considering it goes halfway across my abdomen, it’s almost believable.
Xenial here, and I have a gnarly appendectomy scar. I was 8 or 9 when I had mine done. I have a huge burn at one end because apparently my surgeon was drunk and he burnt my skin while cauterizing something.
My boomer dad’s looks like his was battlefield surgery, while his mother’s scar was unbelievably neat.
Thanks! I thought by your time they were all laproscopic. What year was this? Did you have complications?
Drunk doctor. Sounds fun. At least you were out during it.
I do not recall the year, but ‘86 maybe.
Shit. I meant Gen Z. I’m Gen X, too. I y mine done about a decade before your’s.
I think all of the doctors were self- medicating back then.
