His tariff plans were no secret, and we already got a taste during his first term of how this shit never ends up doing anything but hurt US business, but somehow you decided to vote for him anyway and now this outcome is a surprise?

      ➕ 💯 This right here 👆

Whatever narrative/excuse/willful blindness/willful ignorance you may have deluded yourself with, this is exactly what you wanted and what you got. Mafia Don Mangolini was very clear what he would do and how it would happen.

Fuck you and your regret as “enthusiastically” as you supported Chump. 🖕 🖕

Heritage Foundation: “We want him to be a neutron bomb”

Trump: “I’m going to be a neutron bomb”

Musk: “I’m up for neutron bombs!”

CEOs: “Can you only neutron bomb some things?”

    Trump: “No.”

CEOs: “Eh, he probably doesn’t mean it.”

Media: “Trump not going to be a neutron bomb, everyone says”

Voters: “…eh? Sorry, is there an election or something?”

It’s amazing how similar this was to the support of the Nazis.

The Nazis voter base was similarly petty bourgeoisie. Or what we would call today “middle class small business owners”.

They had been suffering similarly from capital concentration and unable to compete with larger business that could negotiate tariffs (or otherwise) because of their volumes. But they fell for the Nazi talking points about Jews and Immigrants as the Nazi party still fundamentally aligned with their class interest.

And when the Nazi’s took power they put more power into large business and concentrated capital even more. Turning their backs on their voter base. And so the small businessman was forced into working class as they losed their capital.

Tarrifs are being used as an attack on the working class and forcing the petty bourgeoisie to sell their capital. It’s history repeating itself.

What I never see in any of these recent articles about Trump-voter regret is any rationale for why they voted for a convicted felon. Journalists seem to be skipping that topic for some reason.

I feel like the people who think CEOs are better than the rest of us need to look at just how fucking stupid you’d have to be to think a trade war would help small businesses.

In what part of “They’re eating the dogs!” did he think Trump was going to be a sane and stable leader?

They published a book describing what they were going to do. It was, like, a million times easier than effort Arthur Dent was expected to have put in to protect his house, and this was for our entire fucking country.

It was free, online, in easily downloadable and ingestible form. People that read it were saying quite loudly that it was a Very Bad Thing, and got told they were overreacting or suffering from TDS.

Anyone curious about what else to expect need only read P2025. They fucking told us. Avoiding this was so damn easy if more people would only pay attention. And we’re doing away with our education system being of any future use, so that’s another thing to look forward to.

When a fascist runs for office, you don’t vote them in. We failed so hard and the consequences haven’t even caught up yet.
