Dark Web Interdiction Act of 2025
Here is the text of a bill introduced to Congress (US), ostensibly to combat the trafficking of opioids over “The Dark Web”. There’s a nice definition of “The Dark Web” at section 4.
I like the part where it says people are using “The Dark Web” both within the United States and “at the international border”.
Wouldn’t that already be illegal under current laws?
This bill creates a task force “The purpose of the task force shall be to detect, disrupt, and dismantle illicit marketplaces.”
Let’s not make society healthier to prevent drug use. Just arrest everyone.

Make it illegal.
It already is illegal! They’re just not following the law!
Then, make it illegal to not follow the law that makes it illegal. Duh.

Yes, I know it’s about creating a taskforce to fight the “war on drugs” or whatever they call it now, but my scenario was funnier.
As a drug user myself, I’m all for combating opioids, but let’s make the rest legal then.
