Former President Donald Trump, fresh off his third appearance in court as a criminal defendant, delivered a speech full of defiance and bluster on Friday night, insulting prosecutors and declaring that the charges he faces only help his 2024 presidential campaign.

Lol. I hate this man so fucking much but the dude is a master troll.

God damn I just want him to die on the toilet pissing and shidding himself so badly. It’s really the only outcome that’d make sense

His supporters would fly into a rage and accuse Democrats of secretly murdering him just like Scalia. At least one of his supporters would probably commit a terrorist act in response.

1.) I don’t recall his death being anything of note, but then there’s always 2.) his career was racist, no-talent shit beforehand anyhow.

You don’t recall the autoerotic asphyxiation?

Found hanging by the neck on a curtain cord with his dick in his hand?

Death by breath-play accident isn’t the poetic justice you think it is. Let’s not be shameless, hmm?

I don’t kink shame, but unsafe breath play is the height of stupidity.

Also, there are no real conspiracy theories about the death. He accidentally hung himself in a closet while trying to get off.

Now imagine if a prominent Conservative died the same way, you’d never hear about them again.

That cool. But please put thought into him not being the sole producer of his own bullshit. Personally I believe he’s controlled by the mob. Getting played out and sacrificed by other career criminals that want to own America.

He could be right, but it will come down to how the other Republican candidates handle it. If they get behind him and portray him as a martyr, there are certainly enough gullible ® voters to deliver the election. We’ll just need to see if the (D) turnout is strong enough to overcome that. On the other hand, if they unite against him, he’ll lose the nomination, run independently, and split the ® vote.

Option A is far more likely. We’ve seen over and over again that facts, legality, and consistency don’t matter, but appointing judges does. A disgraced scumbag that appoints who he’s told to appoint is infinitely more important than having “principles” without power.

Let’s be honest here. That’s because his grift didn’t raise as much the last indictment. Diminishing returns, all that, and he hasn’t quite raised enough to pay off his legal fees.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Former President Donald Trump, fresh off his third appearance in court as a criminal defendant, delivered a speech full of defiance and bluster on Friday night, insulting prosecutors and declaring that the charges he faces only help his 2024 presidential campaign.

But Trump was characteristically unapologetic as he took the stage Friday night to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” flashing a thumbs-up at the crowd, raising his fist and taking in a standing ovation of nearly three minutes.

Trump has continued to receive endorsements from GOP elected officials throughout the investigations and criminal cases, including on Friday from all six of the state’s Republican U.S. House members.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama, who is waging an unprecedented campaign to try to change Pentagon abortion policy by holding up hundreds of military nominations and promotions, introduced Trump at the dinner on Friday night.

Trump’s mounting legal troubles do not seem to be dampening his support in the Deep South state that is among more than a dozen that will hold primary contests on Super Tuesday.

In Alabama, though, one gauge of interest doesn’t bode well for the governor: The state GOP sold about 1,000 fewer tickets for a similar dinner in March when DeSantis spoke.

Amazingly, people will still support him. A huge reason is that not supporting him would be admitting they were wrong.

After Nixon resigned, 30% of people still supported him.

After World War II, 30% of Germans still supported Hitler.

For some people, admitting they were wrong is fucking hard, and more people will pretend everything is good in order to not admit they were wrong. So even though it is clear he’s an insane grifter who crimes like a madman, admitting it means the libs were right and they were wrong.

Admitting being wrong is too much to do.

The crowd of 2,700 began arriving several hours early for the dinner, a $250-per-ticket fundraiser for the Alabama Republican Party.

…The state GOP sold about 1,000 fewer tickets for a similar dinner in March when DeSantis spoke.

Less people turned out to be grifted by Trump than by DeSantis. Even in Alabama they are tiring of Trump.

I shouldn’t post before coffee. Mea culpa.

Which is surprising because they elected Tuberville. Who is holding up hundreds on military promotions because he doesn’t want women to have healthcare.

I feel like there should be a way to hold politicians like Tuberville in contempt. Not only is his cause complete bullshit, he is allowing domestic politics to get in the way of national security.

Of course, endangering national security seems to be a part of the republicans platform these days.

There is. He can be censured which is just ceremonial. He can have his committee appointments rescinded which would neuter his bullshit. He could be expelled and his constituency would need to elect someone else.

The problem is that Republicans support him so none of this will ever happen. Trump committed treason on live television by asking a hostile foreign nation to influence our elections and they complied that day. Republicans don’t care, they only want to win and damn the country.
