Hi, I’m looking for some more classical guitar people on the fed/thread-iverse.

I saw this community exists but looks like it hasn’t been active for a while. Anyone still here?

Well, I’m here. I just restarted playing classical guitar.

What piece(s) are you working on?

      Hey!

I’m working on a few things right now. My main project is trying to play La Catedral Allegro at a convincing tempo. Not sure if I’ll get it to where I want it though tbh.

I’ve also been working on the BWV 997 Gigue to go with the prelude that I’ve been playing for a long while. Hoping to add the and the Sarabande as well, so I can play them all as a set.

I’m also working on a few other pieces like some Sor studies, Julia Florida.

I jump around between a bunch of stuff.

How is it getting back into guitar? Anything you’re working on?

I played a long time ago and recently got back into it over the last couple years. I’ve been getting into nylon strings over the last few months playing on one of those Ibanez tod10n guitars, sitka spruce top and testing with different d’addario strings but I’m open to suggestions.

I’ve mostly been relearning stuff I forgot and learning new classical/finger style songs lately. Been learning and playing shady grove and a leyenda variation recently. I have some books for songs & lookup tabs on my phone but should probably look into an Android app for the tablet to use instead of always on paper books.

It honestly feels like most of the music reader apps and such are made for iPhones and iPads these days, but if you find something good for Android please share.
