I’m a new football fan and I’ve decided to follow the prem. I’ve been following since gameweek 9. I am looking forward for the Chelsea v. Man City. I still have time to spare before that match, which of the preceding matches do you think will be the most exciting to watch?

Although I am enjoying the sport and the league, I still got a lot to learn. Among the preceding matches, Aston Villa is my favorite so far (second to Man City). But also Man City is going against LFC in the next gameweek after the international break. Which of the two should I follow? Or maybe screw the two and watch any game you think would be much more enjoyable. I’ll appreciate any of your suggestions. Thanks.

Don’t base this season on your entire support.

    Its a wild season.

Instead, have a look at some history of some of the clubs. Their ups and downs etc.

Its easy to support a winning club. The happiness that your club keeps winning doesn’t get old.

But thay comes at a price. You just expect to win so much.

Supporting a top 6 club is fine cos you get to see them in a lot of competitions.

Part of being a fan is frustration and heartache and joy in equal measures.

Villa have a great history and are playing some amazing footy right now.

City, is a bit like only looking for ferraris when buying a new car. And I find them methodical and boring but as a non fan, I enjoy watching them occasionally.

Liverpool have a huge history and have ups and downs but are a good team to watch.

Arsenal, spurs, West ham all have big histories and are always going to have a lot more good games than bad.

I support newcastle. We are playing the game of our lives right now, but we have a lot of problems with who owns us and bad vibes from other fans which doesn’t bother me now, but would influence my decision to not support them as a new fan.

Basically, watch as many games as poss all season, and see which teams you automatically want to fick to watch week in and week out.

    The club will choose you.

And don’t not support someone just because they’re having a tough time (ie, everton)

Isn’t it wild how new fans never end up supporting Palace or Wolves but always pick the current Premier League and European champions … 🙄

If you’re following City then it absolutely makes sense to watch our upcoming opponents. Go for that Liverpool match. Especially as a new fan you need to get accustomed to all the players and this is a great way to do it.

Also, they say the team picks you, not the other way around. You are drawn in, like a sorting hat.

Totall makes sense to pick Villa right now. One of the top three funnest to watch. I became a Brighton fan during last year for the same reason.
