Does the rest of Europe and the world dislike international breaks as much as we do in England ?

I was having this discussion with friends and I think it directly correlates with the quality of the league of your country.

For example Spain England Germany will dislike them as they would prefer to see their clubs playing , but for Croatia their national team is better than their club teams so they enjoy it.

I could be totally wrong so please let me know !

Why does the EPL think that they are different from the rest?

As a Swede, yes, they’re the worst. Especially when our international team is struggling, which is always.

As an Estonian, yes, I strongly dislike international brakes. I wanna watch good quality football not our international team getting beat up 0:5 by always struggling Swedes

I’d say yeah, MLS & LAFC fan here. It’s the playoffs and we’re basically on a 3 week break due to the international break until we play our next game, and it’s a single elimination game too. Kills all the momentum honestly

In South Africa all the football fans go into a depression during international breaks. It’s almost torture waiting the days and nights until the Premier League is back. I guess that’s why we drink so much.

At least we have the cricket world cup and the Vegas F1 to pass the time this weekend.

US - I guess I dislike them but I am used to them. Other US sports to consume in the fall. I enjoy mainly College Football besides PL. US national team always seems to have compelling storylines over roster and World Cup qualifying. We play Trinidad and Tobago next I would rather watch a high level PL game than this match.

U.S. and fucking hate it. I do like that other people not into it get into the World Cup but also kinda annoying. You like the game just watch it so I have someone to talk to about it.

    Yes!

I have children and look forward to waking up early on weekends (in California), take a bong rip and enjoy the EPL game I believe will be most entertaining of the day.

With international breaks, I might look forward to watching 1, maybe 2 games. Some are on weekdays so it leaves nothing worth watching on weekend mornings when I have a little time to myself.

Australians mostly love them. We get to watch our best go at it. And occasionally it’s not at 2 or 3 am for once!

It was even better when ange was boss :)

I’m Mexican I hate the international break and wish international soccer would just die. Between corrupt officials in CONCACAF the corruption in Liga MX and FEMEXFUT, the corruption in FIFA the lack of rest the drop in quality the drunk and disorderly fans the fights and stabbings in friendlies in the US. I’m just over international soccer and I watch it less and less I’m still a bit nostalgic for the World Cup but yet another WC in the Middle East where thousands will die from heat and slave labor building stadiums is starting to make me hate that even more.

In Brazil, our league is getting better and better; the fifth has the same chances to win as the leader. Now we have to wait 15 days to see the outcome.
