Hi folks, I am planning to come to England from Canada next summer with my son to see a couple premier league games. I am planning on booking flights between August 14-30 so should tie into the start of the season.
His fav team is Man city but honestly, he would be happy to see a couple of games regardless of who was playing.
Generally speaking how difficult is it to get premiership tickets if I try right away? When will they go on sale? A month in advance I read?
I was planning my trip around the euro’s but came up empty for tickets in the lottery process. I am starting to think I will have better luck with the premiership. Thoughts.
Any advice is certainly appreciated as I am very unfamiliar with this entire process.
FWIW I’m also an American and had to go the hospitality ticket route.
I’m sure each club is different but with Liverpool you get “points” based off of how many games you’ve attended. And that sets where you are on the priority list to buy tickets when they are released.
City is quite difficult. You have to have a matchday membership and then it sometimes goes to previous season/game requirements. This year, they’re releasing it batches but they’re selling insane fast even with the rule of 1 ticket per member.
I won’t recommend third party sites as it can get messy although I hope you have some luck!
I think you’ll be OK for tickets at the Emptihad
Have you tried just emailing/calling the ticket offices and just explaining your situation? Maybe that will work.
I was fortunate to go to the Chelsea city game the other day. I bought my tickets through stubhub an hour before the game as prices were dropping. You’ll be good.
Hospitality is the way to go, guarantees you your ticket and is reasonable if again it’s not a huge fixture, also can be booked earlier than the general ticket sale
