Aren’t we assuming there was incompetence to begin with!! How often has Arsenal received favoured calls … win some lose some. Arsenal and Arteta deserve to be sanctioned because it filters down to grass roots level and we end up with obnoxious parents and Mgrs attacking ref’s who do not have protection…

Holy shit, these guys are babied so goddamn much. Will it really kill them to hold refs accountable?

FA constantly banging on about protecting lower league refs from abuse by making Premier League refs immune from criticism

The FA are a joke, the media can ask what they like in post match press conferences but managers cannot respond how they truly feel. What’s the point of even having media duties if you only want managers to respond like robots and ignore any refereeing decisions.

“Praising my players for the way we played, we didn’t deserve to lose the match playing in their ground and we lose because of clear and obvious decisions. It is embarrassing, it is a disgrace, that’s what it is, a disgrace.”

Quizzed on the PGMOL he added: "We’ve been taking it up (with the PGMOL) for months. There is too much at stake, we put in so many hours. I’m here to represent the football club and to get my team to compete at the highest level, the margins are so small, it’s a disgrace, embarrassing.

“It is how I feel. The amount of messages we’ve sent saying this cannot continue. I’m sorry, embarrassing. I’m defending my players when I have to, I defend my job when it is not good enough. I have to be here, to say it now, it is not acceptable, too much at stake.”

Arteta’s rant continued: "You look at the images and I don’t know how to feel. I am wasting my time, we are wasting our time. I don’t want to be in the hands of people. It is difficult enough to compete against this really good team. The way we play, the way we compete, it is embarrassing, there is too much at stake. "

In the press briefing, he continued his frustration: “We have to talk about the result and talk about how the hell this goal stands. I feel embarrassed, I have to be the one to come in here and defend the club and ask for help because it is a disgrace that this goal is allowed.”

Quizzed on why: "Because it is not a goal, for more than one reason, it is not a goal. Too much at stake, we put so much effort in and it is a disgrace. I feel embarrassed, I did 20 years in this country and this is nowhere near the level to describe this as the best league in the world.

Arteta was told about Stockley Park’s lack of clips: “That makes it even worse. You just need to see one image and it is finished. If you have any doubt look at a second and if this is a goal. I don’t care what they say, it is the outcome, whatever they say it is too late.”

The Arsenal boss was asked which aspect he was most angered with: “This is really the question? It is not a goal, it’s simple, it’s not a goal. For a goal to be allowed there are things that prior to that that are not allowed in football. In here, China, Japan, Spain, Italy, Portugal. They are not allowed.”

The numbnuts in this comment section show just how malinformed you lot are with the LOTG, the FA, FIFA and PGMOL. Shameful honestly, nobody ripped Robben a new pair when he didn’t chip Casillas, or when Messi failed to get his million flashbulbs, but when a ref calls it against you it’s worth being a rabid dog and acting like a hormonal teenager? Where in God’s green earth is your fucking compassion.

You will let the great spoils rot if you only look for the perfect pull.

Well let’s settle the case and publish the audio files from the decision.

They went through all mediums to prove the decision was correct and artetas behaviour was wrong (media outlets, panel review, now this).

Why is releasing the video & audio so difficult? Stop deflecting the blame

I know every team has their grievance list, but Arsenal’s particular flavor is the “only ever seen it once”

    • Xhaka red vs. Brighton? a few years back for a tactical foul to stop a counterattack
    • Van Persie second yellow for kicking a ball away
    • Martinelli double yellow from the same action
    • This foul - 999 out of 1000 this is called a push (ok not only Arsenal, but extremely rare)

Willock being pushed into a goalkeeper by a defender who actually scores an own goal and the foul was given against Willock for hitting the keeper so goal rules out and no penalty. Only seen that once
