Teams in the championship and below do get punished regularly and more swiftly for breaking the rules. Realistically I don’t think any team is getting close to £100mil from Everton.
This seems like the equivalent of a penalty and red card. It’s the FA or PL’s job to punish and regulate so that clubs don’t sue each other like this.
