Imagine the PR gaff of having to retrospectively strip titles from a club. All the PL will do is wait for a season where City win the league by 20 points and strip them of 19.

    There is absolutely zero chance that Man City get their trophies stripped from them. It just wouldn’t make any sense at all given no one can say the team that finished second would have done so in an alternative reality where City didn’t spend so much. There is pretty much only a case to strip titles in the case of match fixing.
