Given that Everton have had a 10 point deduction, it is only a matter of time before Man City, Chelsea or Newcastle will get points deductions/potential relegation.
This could lead to following things:
- Big players, from these clubs e.g. Haaland, De Bruyne, Guimaraes will leave and would likely join teams from abroad.
- Likes of La Liga or Serie A chairman will be in UEFA’s ear about this, potentiall causing them to ban English Teams
- The PL will be seen by many as a corrupt league like Serie A in mid 2000’s and will have a knock on affect in which players may choose to sign for clubs like AC Milan or Bayern Munich ahead of English teams.
The EPL media contracts will continue to pay out billions irregardless of punishments to a few top teams. That means more money for others. There are few Europeans teams that can compete financially with even a lower table EPL team. Secondly, irregardless of punishment City and Chelsea will eventually return to the EPL.
