There’s a lot of players who come to the prem with insane hype and fail, but im curious about the inverse of this.

A lot of surprising takes in these comments, it’s a subjective question so fair enough.

I personally think thought the likes of David Silva or Juan mata could flop, purely on their small frames joining a physical league.

More recently dom solanke. I assumed he’d be another academy player who goes on to a mediocre career in the lower leagues. He looks like a top goal scorer these days

I still think Solanke is wank but hoping he does a Harry Kane on me and proves me wrong. Tbf he has been shite (apart from in the championship) but maybe this season coukd be his turning point.

I’m surprised you think he’s been wank in the premier league. Bournemouth last year had no right staying in the league. Yet he always looked dangerous and managed to get six goals for them. Not bad.

This year, Bournemouth have had the worst fixture run imaginable to open their season, plus they’ve been scrambling trying to adapt to their new system. However, he’s on a goal every two games.

I’m sorry but 6 goals is not great for a striker and he underperformed his xg by 4.5 goals so I think my point stands. He’s wank. However I would like to see him do well and he is this season as I don’t like seeing people struggle unless they’re a twat, which he isn’t.
