People think that scrapping FFP will help the league. But in reality, it will make clubs spend beyond their spending and incur more debts.

This will be a bad thing for smaller clubs, who are trying to compete with big clubs.

The top 6 have rich owners, while clubs like city and New Castle united have states backing them up. They can spend as much as they want. Meanwhile, smaller clubs will not have the means to compete with them.

FFP is there to level up the ground and make sure lower clubs don’t bankrupt themselves. You can hate it as much as you want to, but without it alot of clubs will go bankrupt and even go in to administration.

FFP doesn’t do anything to help the smaller clubs, just helps protect the existing hegemony. A standardised salary cap would be the only was to create a truly level playing field.

FFP Is a waste of time in its current state anyway with all the big clubs frequently undertaking in dubious practices.

Exactly. If you can only afford average players then average players is all you’re going to get. How is a smaller team supposed to grow and compete if it’s only allowed to spend a fraction of a sky 6 club.

Same way it happens in any other industry. When did United, Liverpool or Arsenal need to receive a giant cash injection from an oil state to get to the top?

Lol they weren’t from oil states but all of those clubs became successful by investing money into the club and outspending everyone else.

It helps prevent clubs from bankrupting themselves but also gives them no fucking chance of ever winning a title. Salary cap would be way more fair but why would the top clubs ever agree to that?
