First City Chelsea Everton and now Spurs. I think they will need to be sanctioned properly to minimize cheating in football. Do you reckon Spurs should stripped off ALL their trophies they won after signing of Defoe or will the PL just deduct them points?

Clubs are getting caught left right and center for cheating but Fergie and United bribing referees somehow business as usual. Who will get caught next? I think more teams will be getting caught at this rate except maybe Arsenal.

City everton chelsea and spurs should all be given a punishment which matches what other teams get.

As we saw united got away with a fine, so I’d imagine that’s what we all expect right?

I very much doubt Spurs will get too much of a punishment, Everton’s was harsh. £20 million overspent isn’t exactly much for a premier league side. Think they’ve just been made an example of. City’s owners aren’t stupid. There is bound to be loopholes for their charges. They’ve done it before with UEFA and will more likely do it again. The Chelsea one is a strange one because the new ownership are the ones who reported the inaccuracies and it was all before their tenure. So I’d expect chelsea will get a punishment but it’ll more likely be a hefty fine (they’ve already paid an £8m fine to UEFA for issues they discovered). The league doesn’t benefit from these teams being relegated or expelled especially on a European level.

Take the fine and move on. The current club people don’t deserve to take the beating from past mistakes/failures.

Lad, I’ll be honest, with the injuries, Romero’s red card and our lack of form. Give it four games and it’ll be like we have been deducted ten points. No need for a sanction when we are terrible. We will deduct them ourselves

When clubs start breaching the integrity of the game of football then something has to be done, more than just “fines” to the club(s) but suspensions and even cost transfer window contracts for however long.

But since there has really been no severe penalties issued what I feel is the real integrity of the game itself is whats going to suffer out all of this.

We have to look at the entire picture of the infraction, from the monetary value of the club to past hardware the club may have won while impeding with the violation. The entire Standards of Conduct seems to need a revamping

Wouldn’t surprise me if every team, including Arsenal, end up getting charged with something. I think half the problem is how much sway the agents have, clubs are probably having to slip some brown envelopes about to get deals done.
