    @pulsewidth These are different things, though. 8 hrs of some show is not an 8-hr movie, and doesn’t require that kind of patience. And any good film-school student could explain that: The structure, pacing, narrative, arc, complexity, and other factors of a film are different from those of a TV show. It’s like the difference between one 300-pg novel and 30 10-page stories. You really do have to commit to 300 pages to get through the novel, but only 10 pgs at a time to read those stories.
