I know this will probably get flagged b/c any public mention of race scares the shit out of people but I’m sure I’m not the only one that noticed that the majority of the Falcon fans seems to be Black. In the past, I felt like it was much more diverse (or majority white) but it seems as if non-Black Atlantans are rarely showing up to the Dirty Bird Nest. I know that today was the 50th year celebration of hip-hop but I been noticing how the fanbase has been changing for a while. To the non-Black fans, why do you feel the Falcon fanbase seems to be predominately Black? Is it b/c the culture of the gameday experience caters more to Black Americans than anyone else? And I know non-Black Atlantans love football as well because UGA football is king here … it’s almost a reverse of what I see at Falcon games … at UGA games I a sea of non-Black faces with speckles of Black faces in the crowd.

Well, your comment history kind of betrays you. Go stir your shit somewhere else. Falcons fans are Falcons fans and that’s all that matters.

But when you go out West, lots of Niners and Raiders fans are Latinos. Up north, lots of Vikings fans are white. It’s just where the team is based demographically. It’s not any news to us. Also, not white but Asian here. We got love for the Falcons.

Been to plenty of Falcons game at the Benz and have seen tons of white fans there. I really don’t know what you’re trying to say here. In addition, the majority or minority race of our fanbase doesn’t matter at all to be quite honest.

Who gives a fuck what demographic likes a team or why? Our fanhood rubs all that societal bullshit away. We’re Falcons fans, that’s the only demographic that matters here. This reeks of “I’m not racist but…” Rethink this post and maybe go out and meet people that aren’t in your little clique. Might help answer some things for ya. Grow your mind and perspective a bit.

Lmao all your comments and post are about there being too many POC somewhere. You seem like you’ve read of few articles on the “White genocide”

Oh wow you’re right. They are concerned about how many white people are at schools and football games. Such a weird thing to be concerned about.

It seems like you’re only talking about the diversity at the games. I love the Falcons and never miss a game on TV, but I hate going to games in person.

I don’t think the OP is being negative by the post so people should stop trying to read beyond it. As a Falcons fan in Charlotte, I don’t go to games, but the fan base (when I’ve gone to games) seems to be indicative of the demographics of the population, especially near the stadium. Have I noticed it? Yes, but it never bothered me because I view these folks of all races as “my brotherhood” as long as we’re pulling for the same team.

White dude. Grew up in Atlanta.

Plenty of us around, but ATL is a very black city (and it’s awesome).

OP probably just ain’t invited to the cookout.
