This infographic is incomplete and incorrect, then.
"About 291,000 to 646,000 people in the world die from seasonal flu each year. " https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/influenza-general/new-estimate-shows-higher-global-rate-deaths-flu
This list is ordered by the fatality rate, not by the number of deaths
“DEADLIEST VIRUSES!”
number 3 has only 4 deaths in all of history
What? Are they all supposed to be per year or just the ones that specify per year are per year?
As another commenter said
This list is ordered by the fatality rate, not by the number of deaths
I’m not concerned about the order. One would think all of the deadliest viruses would have more deaths. Not just 4 or 5 total. That’s why I am asking if they are all meant to be per year or if they literally are the total number of deaths period.
It’s about fatality rate. The percentage of people that get the disease and die. In case of the lujo virus apparently only 5 people got infected.
