Tbf fields does seem to fumble a lot, but I feel like half of these are just from bad snaps.

The bears have been abysmal with snaps the past few years. Mustipher, Whitehair, Patrick are just awful at it.

Crazy that he’s only lost 11 of them though. Lawrence had 12 last year and lost 9 of them. Is there an art to fumbling the right way?

It makes sense though. You don’t know how bad or good he truly is because the coaching and team is so bad. Throwing in a new qb might make them look exactly the same after the beating they take

you don’t know how good or bad he is but you do know that he isn’t great. That’s what you need in a franchise guy

Small correction, but it looks like it should be >15 or (16+). At 15+ he is tied for second with Chad Hutchinson leading at 1.33 fumbles per game

I’m honestly exceptionally surprised Goff isn’t on here. I’m guessing he tightened up a bit in Detroit? He was good for one fumble a game on the Rams it felt like but the team was pretty good about recovering them thankfully. Love Goff to death and knew hed most likely turn it around but man had fumbleitis really bad for a guy doesn’t intentionally need to leave the pocket a lot like Fields.

I looked it up, and he has an average of .5 per game with a little under half of those lost. He’s about the same in Detroit, he did have 9 in 14 games in 2021 which is the third highest rate of his career.

Yeah I might be a little biased from 2021 I guess but it really feels like its happened more than that. It was legitimately the only complaint I ever had about Goff in those dominant years it felt like late in games if someone got a clean hit on him (especially blind side but thats more understandable) there was a high chance the ball popped out and id about die of stress before he fell or Whit or someone fell back on it.
