Felt like there were a lot hyped rookie offensive lineman and even though the position can be hard to grow into from college to pros I didn’t know if one of these rookies has stood out at all?

Darnell Wright has been extremely promising, albeit making the kind of rookie mistakes you’re hoping he cleans up in a year or two, including committing way too many penalties

Bill, get off of Reddit. I know scouting hasn’t worked for you, but you won’t find help here.

Biased answer. Darnell Wright is the real deal.

More objective answer. Dawand Jones is probably going to be a great player that everyone will regret passing on.

I like that kid in Cleveland- he looked pretty good against TJ Watt.

Then, of course, I’m kinda partial to Broderick who has done very well even though he’s playing a different side than he did at Georgia.

Broderick Jones has played starter-level snaps (85% or more) in 6 games. In those games, the Steelers have averaged 149.5 rushing yards per game. In 5 of 6 games the Steelers have rushed for more than 100 yards, including a high of 205.

He’s played bench-level snaps (10% or less) in 5 games. In those games, the Steelers have averaged 71.4 rushing yards per game. In just 1 of 5 did they rush for more than 100, a paltry 105.

In the last 3 games the Steelers lead the NFL, averaging 176.7 rushing yards per game.

Barring injury, Chukwuma Okorafor will be sitting on the bench of rest of the season.

What I’m seeing is you need to clone him and then have him play all 5 spots and 2 TE spots. Hell, line him up in the slot too. 8 Broderick Jones. 1 WR out wide for the random deep pass and a QB and RB. If one Broderick Jones is worth an average of 78 rushing yards per game, then 8 will be 624.8 rushing yards per game. And that average is based on throwing the ball probably over half the time

I’ll vote for Darnell Wright but Paris Johnson has also been great as a day 1 starting RT for a garbage offense. He might even have the upside to move to LT

What are you on about PJJ has been awful the last few weeks, he was decent the first 4 weeks of the season but went downhill since , he was losing matchups in garbage time to the rams 3rd stringers . He’s rated in the bottom 10 by PFF for right tackles . I agree with him moving to the left side but saying he’s the best of the class as of now is just wrong .

Dawand Jones is a 4th rounder who has played 371 pass blocking snaps and has given up only 19 pressures and only 3 of those pressures have ended in sacks

Pretty crazy that he’s seemingly playing better than his college LT Paris Johnson who was a top 7 pick.
