My friend is now unable to attend an upcoming game with me, so I’ll be going alone. Does anyone else go alone?? Is it boring? I’m very shy so I’m not the sort to mingle with strangers unless they talk to me first

Don’t miss out on fun opportunities just because someone can’t go. Enjoy the game, sing and cheer.

I, an Indian dude living in London, used to go alone to Chelsea matches at Stamford Bridge (wrote ‘used to’ because I’m back in India now) in the 2018-19 & 2019-20 season before COVID hit. It never felt I was alone as everyone around me had the same aim and interest, and celebrated (or mourned) at the same time. It’s a beautiful feeling, where you don’t know anyone around you but still feel connected.

believe it or not, I’ve only every gone alone! I love it, except when I’m sat in the tourist section and they don’t speak english, but I always manage to make friends and have a laugh with others.
