Same, I look like a beady-eyed opossum without mine, so having them off my face too long in public gives me social anxiety instead 😝
Frequently. It helps reduce sensory overload and allow me to calm down faster.

Casual Conversation@piefed.social•Have you ever broken up with a friend and cut them out of your life? How'd that go?English
17·12 days agoI’m a big fan of social pruning and I’ve broken up with quite a few friends. Most of the breakups was easy, they were either assholes or we’d grown so far apart that the only viable discussion topic was what happened 10 years ago.
For me, I ask myself how often I keep in touch with them, what our connection is and if it’s a friend I still wish to spend time around. One of the tell-tale signs for me is when I’ve planned something with someone and as the day/hour approaches, I start looking for excuses to do something else.

2·14 days agoYeah, I’m aware of the overhead and hope I won’t have to roll back to something less, but if it turns out to be too demanding, I will have to roll back to nfs or think of something else.

4·14 days agoI’m planning on using proxmox with Ceph. I’m already using proxmox for virtualization of my k8s nodes, but with three hardware nodes it’s finally time to enable ceph as well as HA.

Music@lemmy.world•How many albums do you own? And how small could you go if you had to reduce it?English
3·1 month agoIt varies with mood and season. I do have periods when I recycle a couple of albums over and over again, but most days I tend to put the whole collection on shuffle and do deep dives into certain artists or genres along the way.

2·1 month agoI’m currently at 1350, give or take. I could probably stand reducing it to an even thousand, but the collection keeps growing due to me continually exploring new music.

New features, fixing bugs, security fixes, hardware support, etc. Why would Linux updates be different than updates to any other OS?

4·2 months agoI used to run Debian on my servers and arch on my laptop, but just like you, I had a hard time remembering stuff about the different systems. These days I just run arch on everything.

I did a rewatch of the first season of chestnut man, not because the second season is related to the first, but because it’s an awesome Nordic suspense crime show.
