AmanitaCaesarea@slrpnk.netto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you ever go out, and while you're out, you think, ‘this is exactly why I don't go out’?5·7 days agoMost of the time I have the opposite. I dread going out, and hope that the plans get canceled. But when I’m there I really do enjoy it, and I’m glad I didn’t pussy out.

AmanitaCaesarea@slrpnk.netto Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•People who don't care about politics are subhumanEnglish2·10 days agoLol got a good chuckle from that last line. Fair enough, if any social interaction is politics than most things are political. Still most people, or more acturate me, think about governmental politics when u say “politics”. Social dynamics might a better word for what you describe imo.
AmanitaCaesarea@slrpnk.netto Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•People who don't care about politics are subhumanEnglish2·10 days agoHmmm then we have different definitions of politics. Quite easy to just call everything politics
AmanitaCaesarea@slrpnk.netto Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•People who don't care about politics are subhumanEnglish3·10 days agoIt only matters if you can influence it, and your vote counts. Here in my country your vote is basically useless. And the people don’t the have balls like in Nepal to torch their government if needed. Can idealize and act intellectual all you want by caring about politics, but if there is no influence to be had as the people then you’re just mentally jerking off

AmanitaCaesarea@slrpnk.netto Technology@lemmy.world•Vibe coding has turned senior devs into ‘AI babysitters,’ but they say it’s worth it | TechCrunchEnglish38·10 days agoGotta love how devs and engineers are supposed to be on the front lines of innovation and progression. But most of the it’s just moaning and calling the next gen dumb. 15 years ago the current devs would be called dumb for using Frameworks amd how it’s cheating since it’s not self written. Do your part and educate and guide the next gen instead of complaining about tech evolving and being used.

AmanitaCaesarea@slrpnk.netto Open Source@lemmy.ml•Good actually user friendly foss chat app?2·23 days agoAye but things like same account use isn’t quite there yet.
As in, you can connect your phone to a pc and use it from there. But then u can’t use it on your phone, while connected with another device… if i remember correctly.
At one point I had a group chat with my phone, home desktop, and work laptop. Whereas whatsapp u just connect once and go.
It’s probaly to secure your privacy and technical stuff under the hood…
It’s a great app nonetheless, so I shall always shill it over Signal lol.

It’s a great messenger app, but still needs some refining in their UX. But I still like to mention it. Probably Signal then.

Pls don’t discourage content like this. Lemmy has enough politics and drama. I need stuff like this in my feed or I’m out.
AmanitaCaesarea@slrpnk.netto Casual Conversation@piefed.social•What's something in modern life that makes you crazy?3·2 months agoSurveillance capitalism at it’s finest. The biggest problem I find is:
If our data is so valuable just pay me for it, for fuck sake! There should me a model that pays me for my data.
People tend to shit on Brave for their Attention Token model, but I find it a step in the right direction.
AmanitaCaesarea@slrpnk.netto linuxmemes@lemmy.world•as a linux user, i find this humorus4·2 months agoLuckily linux does 95% of the work for you nowadays!
